Interplay School of Dance Summer School Requirements & Confirmation

 Welcome to Interplay’s Summer Camp. We hope you will have a wonderful time with us this year and that you enjoy all your classes. Below is a list of information that you will need prior to the first day. We ask that you read it carefully and if you have any questions, please call our office during our summer hours currently on our Interplay phone messaging center 416-972-1316. To simplify levels for each area of training, please see the following: Summer camp will now be Level 1-4, Profile and Comp Program will remain in groups A-D. Year programs will remain Intensive 1-8 and the enhanced 1&2. This year there will be a lot of training classes with conditioning in ballet, pointe, contemporary, modern, jazz and lyrical dance. Acro will not be practiced in summer camp this year. Conditioning will replace acro for strength and flexibility. School

Location: 250 Davisville Avenue, 5th Floor (at Mt. Pleasant), Toronto, ON  

Camp Start Time: 9:00-4:00 Daily. All students must arrive at 8:30am on Monday, August 18th for grouping. Some comp students will stay until 5 p.m. You will be notified of this ahead of time.

Morning Day Care Start Time: 7:00-9:00am Daily. Evening Day Care Start Time: 4:00-6:00pm Daily.

 If you need dancewear, please purchase at the school at 8:30 a.m. on the first day. Please have multiple outfits as it is not hygienic to stay in the same leotard and tights for the full day. Students will be hot and sticky after every class.

Ballet – Any color leotard, pink convertible tights, ballet slippers, hair in a bun, pointe shoes for Level 2-4.

Modern and Jazz– Any leotard, footless tights or black shorts, tights or bare legs, bare feet or jazz shoes/foot undies, hair off of face and neck.

What else do I need?
Yoga mat, face towel, theraband
Knee pads – Level 2 – 4
Lunch, healthy snacks, re-fillable water bottle, please no candy or gum
 Flip flops or Slippers for the lounge area & change rooms Change of clothes for lunch time

We ask that you do not send money with your child. In the past we have had problems with students buying candy during their lunch hours or break times. This concerns our afternoon teachers as the children are quite hyper and cannot focus on their classes. We thank you for your attention. All students will travel with a buddy when outside of Interplay during lunch hours. One supervisor will be with each group at all times. Children must be signed in and out by a parent each day.
